The Story

物語

Dorayaki holds a special place in Japanese culture—it's the favorite food of Doraemon, the beloved robotic cat from one of Japan's most popular anime series. But this traditional sweet has been delighting Japanese people for over a century, long before it achieved anime fame.

Our dorayaki consists of two fluffy, honey-infused pancakes sandwiching a generous layer of anko (sweet red bean paste). The pancakes are made from a batter containing honey, which gives them their characteristic golden color and subtle sweetness. We cook them on a special griddle to achieve the perfect texture—soft and slightly spongy with just a hint of caramelization.

The star is our house-made anko, slowly simmered azuki beans sweetened with sugar until they reach that perfect balance of sweet and earthy. This humble snack is a beautiful example of Japanese wagashi (traditional sweets), perfect with a cup of green tea.

Now I understand why Doraemon loves these so much! The pancakes are so fluffy and the red bean paste is perfectly sweet. Great with green tea!

Authentic dorayaki! The anko is house-made and you can tell - so much better than the pre-packaged ones. A lovely traditional dessert.

If you like red bean, you'll love this. The pancakes are soft and honey-flavored. Not too sweet which I appreciate in Japanese desserts.
